Reiki Healing
What is Reiki?
It is a gentle and calming energy that will always work for the highest good of the person receiving it, treating the mind, body and spirit. Reiki can harmonize all aspects of a person. It doesn't just treat the physical symptoms of a disease or illness; it can bring emotional and mental cause to the surface to be dealt with and healed. It promotes the body's own natural healing process, and encourages personal and/or spiritual growth.
The only requirement needed is a willingness to receive this truly relaxing and healing experience.

Reiki (pronounced ray-key) derives from two Japanese words, 'Rei' and 'Ki', the usual accepted definition being 'universal life energy'.
Rei does mean 'universal' but this is a general definition as Japanese ideograms have many levels of meaning and research into the esoteric meaning of Rei, as it appears in Reiki, can be more accurately interpreted to mean 'higher knowledge' or 'spiritual consciousness'.
Ki is the life energy, also known as the vital life force. This is a non-physical energy present in all living things. When this energy is low, or there is a restriction in it's flow, we are more susceptible to illness. It is also the primary energy of our emotions, thoughts and spiritual life.

A reiki treatment feels like a warm, glowing radiance flowing through and surrounding you, Reiki treats the wole person, including body, mind and spirit. The treatment process is a simple, natural and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement that anyone can use.
How is a Reiki treatment given?
Reiki energy flows from the practitioners hands into the client. The client is usually lying in a massage couch. The client remains fully clothed. The practitioner places her hands on or near the client's body in a series of hand positions. These include positions around the head and shoulders, stomach and feet. Other more specfic positions may be used based on the client's needs.
The whole treatment lasts between 45 and 90 minutes
